SBK Kunstuitleen
The SBK Kunstuitleen Amsterdam, founded in 1955, is the first established Art Lending Foundation in the Netherlands where one can rent and acquire contemporary art. It has a large collection - more than 55.000 pieces - of contemporary, expressive art predominantly made by artists who live and work in the Netherlands.
The collection comprises many different techniques such as paintings, all sorts of graphic art, sculptures, drawings, photographs etc.
At the moment the SBK Kunstuitleen Amsterdam has 11 branches in Amsterdam, Breda, Den Helder, Dordrecht, Helmond, Oosterhout, Tilburg, Veendam and, on the internet, the Virtual Gallery.

More than 5000 artists
The art is acquired directly from the artist. The SBK has connections with more than 5000 artists who regularly sell their art to the SBK foundation. The members of the SBK rent one or more pieces of art which are allowed to be kept at home for an indefinite period of time. Members always have the possibility to change their rented piece of art for another object from the SBK collection.

All of the membership fee will be saved
The rate one pays for the art depends on the value of the object(s). From only 5 euro a month it is possible to have at home a unique piece of art. All of the amount paid for the membership fee will be saved by the SBK toward future payment for art, should a member decide to buy a certain piece of art from the SBK-collection.

Art for companies
Each branche of the foundation has the knowledge and equipment to supply and put up art for companies and institutions. On request, interested parties receive advice with regard to acquiring an artcollection for their offices and meeting rooms.

The Virtual Gallery
At the Virtual Art Lending Gallery a special collection of samples of the art the SBK has to offer, is available to rent or buy on the Internet. Every week this collection is updated. Please take a further look at our site and drop us a line if you have any questions.
